Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, Release Date May 1
The anime series based on Izumi Tsubaki’s Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun manga is coming to Netflix on May 1, 2020. The show first premiered in Japan in 2014 and ran for 12 episodes. Produced by Dogo Kobo the story goes as Sakura Chiyo confesses to her crush, Nozaki-kun. However he mistakes her as a fan! Unable to convey her feelings, what happens when he invites her to his house? Find out in this hilarious series!
Scissors Seven Season 2, Release Date May 7
The second season to Scissors Seven will debut on Netflix on May 7. Scissors Seven originally titled as ‘Killer Seven’ is a Chinese anime series which first came to platform on January 10, 2020. Netflix describes the first season as,” Seeking to recover his memory, a scissor-wielding, hairdressing, bungling quasi-assassin stumbles into a struggle for power among feuding factions.”
Avatar: The Last Airbender, Release Date May 15
Yes you heard it right! All 61 episodes from Avatar: The Last Airbender is coming to Netflix in May.
For those who are not familiar with the series, Avatar is an american animated television series with close resemblance to Japanese style of animation. The series is centered around the journey of 12-year-old Aang, the Avatar and last survivor of his nation, the Air Nomads, along with his flying bison Appa and friends Sokka, Katara, and later on Toph, as they strive to end the Fire Nation’s war against the other nations of the world. All three seasons will debut in English dub and other language variants on May 15.
Dorohedoro, Release Date May 28
Dorohedoro is the latest to come from powerhouse studio Mappa which is coming to Netflix on May 28. The series takes place in a post apocalyptic world where in a city known as the hole, a clan of Sorcerers has been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious “experiments” in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaidou found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia.
To undo the spell, they’re hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they’ll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of “cleaners” into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.
