BEASTARS Season 2 is one of the most awaited anime sequel in the start in 2021. Following the events of the first season including certain mysteries such as Tim’s murder and disappearance of Louis, both anime and manga fans are very excited to see the continuation of the series.

Beastars Season 2 will officially debut on January 6, on Japanese TV network Fuji TV, and Netflix Japan. Shinichi Matsumi is returning to direct the new season at Studio Orange. Nanami Higuchi and Nao Ootsu are also returning to their respective position as scriptwriter and character designers.

This season a lot of new and sequel anime is coming out and it will be hard to keep track of the release dates of each one of them.h

How many epsiodes will it have?

It has been confirmed by Netflix that the second season of BEASTARS will consist of 12 episodes and the show will run from January January 6, 2021, to March 24, 2021. A new BEASTARS episode will be released every Wednesday at 12:55 am JST.

When the BEASTARS Season 2 English Dub will debut on Netflix?

Japanese fans can also catch season 2 on Netflix Japan and Fuji TV’s +Ultra anime programming block. However, the viewers outside Japan have to wait a little bit longer due to Netflix Jail lock. Netflix’s English dub of BEASTARS Season 2 is scheduled to premiere in July 2021. The original cast is reprising their roles as such:

What to expect from Season 2?

The upcoming season of BEASTARS will adapt the “Murder Incident Solution Arc” from the manga which runs from chapter 50-99.

After narrowly surviving his fight with the Shishigumi and rescuing Haru, Legoshi begins his search in finding the culprit behind Tem’s murder. As he comes closer to solving the mystery, Legoshi realizes that to confront the person responsible, he must train both his body and mind, while at the same time, undergoing an experience of self-discovery and newfound confidence.

About BEASTARS

Beastars is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. It is published by the Akita Shoten publishing house in the Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine From September 8, 2016, to October 8, 2020, with 22 volumes. It is also the winner of the 2018 Taisho Manga Prize. Studio Orange adapted the same into a CG anime series. VIZ Media is releasing the series in English.

It follows Legoshi, a large gray wolf, a timid and quiet student of Cherryton Academy where he lives in a dorm with several other carnivorous students including his outgoing Labrador friend, Jack. As a member of the school’s drama club, Legoshi works as a stagehand and supports the actors of the club headed by the star pupil Louis, a red deer.

Out of nowhere, Tem the alpaca is brutally murdered and devoured in the night, setting off a wave of unease and distrust between the herbivore and carnivore students. At the same time, Legoshi has a fateful encounter with Haru, a small dwarf rabbit who has been in love with Louis, and begins developing complex feelings for her.
