Previous Chapter Recap

“Begin a new alliance with your partner, Kurona! Create a counterattack distortion on a one-goal behind the field!!”

2 players from Manshine C now came in front of Isagi and Kurona after Reo said in the previous chapter that they need more players to defend against them. Isagi believed that Kunigami, who was on their frontline, would be the key to him and Kurona breaking through to the right side. Because of his previous game goal, the opposing team will be wary of passing to his side, and they will have to defend Kunigami with everything they have… which is why Isagi and Kurona can take advantage of the space created by Kunigami pulling in front of the goal and attack from there.

Isagi is in the space where Kunigami wants to move so he can catch the back of the ball and shift gears with a one-two from the frontline shooting point at the same time. Isagi passed the ball to Kurona and once Isagi was in the perfect spot to shoot, he returned it to Isagi but Kaiser stole the pass from him.

Isagi thought that Kaiser was definitely aiming for it like when he intercepted Ness’s pass before. Kaiser said that “Yoichi”‘s script is boring and said “REJECTED”. But Kaiser didn’t have too much time on the ball when Chigiri stole it from him with his fast sliding cut saying “then your script development is so slow, it makes me sleepy, Kaiser. REJECTED.” Chirigi passed the ball to Reo. Reo then said, “Nice clear, Princess.” and added that Chigiri being there accelerates football… and now for Manshine C’s two main weapons… Nagi and Agi.

After failing to win the World Cup, there’s unrest in the Japanese Soccer community. Many of the older patrons of the sport aren’t too disturbed by the lack of trophies, but newcomer Anri Teiri is furious – and she’s determined to fix what she sees as the problem with Japanese players. To that end she hires maverick trainer Jinpachi Ego, who devises a strange yet rigorous plan: he takes the three hundred best young soccer players in the country, sends them to a state-of-the-art training facility, and whittles them down until he has the absolute best striker in the nation. Yoichi Isagi is one of the boys chosen for the camp. He may be number 299 out of 300, but nothing – and no one – is going to stand in his way of coming out on top.
