Blue Period is coming-of-age, drama anime set to release this October. The anime is based on the manga of the same name written by Tsubasa Yamaguchi which has won the Best General Manga award in the 43rd Kodansha Manga Award Ceremony. In 2020, the manga won the 13th Manga Taisho and the 44th Kodansha Manga Award for Best General Manga.
Studio Seven Arcs is working on the anime adaptation with Koji Masunari severing as the chief and Katsuya Asano as the series director. Reiko Yoshida is writing the series scripts. Reiko Yoshida is drawing the character design and Ippei Inoue is composing the music.
Episode 1 of Blue Period anime was released on October 2, 2021, at 12:00 am JST and is confirmed to run for 13 episodes with a new one releasing every Saturday. Netflix is streaming the series outside of Japan on a weekly schedule since October 9, 2021.

Where to Watch Online?
If you are currently residing in Japan then you can easily watch the show on the Super Animeism block on MBS and TBS. The episodes will be also available on Netflix Japan.
Outside of Japan, Netflix will stream the latest episodes one week after the Japanese broadcast. The episodes at first will be available in Japanese dub with multiple subtitles options to choose from and the English dub and other localised dubs will be added soon.
This is the first time an anime (along with Komi-san Can’t Communicate) will be aired weekly episodes through Netflix (outside of the Japanese version), with the majority of exclusive series only launching after the entire series has concluded its domestic broadcast.
When the English dub for Blue Period will premiere?
With Netflix streaming the show globally, the English Dub of Blue Period already has been confirmed and now it is only a matter of when it will premiere. We are expecting Netflix to follow their similar old method of releasing the English dub and all other dub versions once the show has ended, so believe the Blue Period English dub will premiere in February 2022.
How many episodes Blue Period will have?
It has been already confirmed that season 1 of “Blue Period” will run for a total of 13 episodes starting from October 2, 2021, to December 25, 2021. Plot of the Anime
Yatora Yaguchi is a fairly popular student who excels in school but often deals with inner emptiness and frustrations. One day he became fascinated by a painting at his high school’s art club so deeply that it inspired him to try his hand at painting. Later, he was inspired by a friend, Ryuji Ayukawa, and subsequently joined the art club, becoming more deeply involved, and attempts to apply for the Tokyo University of the Arts as his choice of college.
