Teruki Goto, originally a musician, who also runs as a candidate in various Japanese elections, cosplayed as ZERO aka Lelouch Lamperouge from Code geass in his latest campaign poster for Tokyo governor election.
He posted a video of YouTube on while describing his poster. The posters reads as “I, Teruki Gotō, command you: Vote for me.”
In the video Goto says that the photo was taken roughly two years ago, and that he’s seen the film version of Code Geass several times now. He said that he chose to cosplay as Lelouch due to the buzz happening around the series at the time.
And this is not the first time the guy has pulled something like this. In 2016’s Tokyo governor elections his poster showed him naked while holding a katana over his head. Due to which his posters and speeches were not shown in TV. Guess nakedness runs in Goto blood. (Kakushigoto reference)
About Code Geass
Code Geass is an original anime produced by Studio Sunrise which first premiered in October 2016. The franchise has inspired two anime seasons, three compilation movies, a spin-off sequel movie Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection movie, multiple OVAs, games and manga adaptations.
