Devilman Creator No Nagai to publish his new work “Tsuragi no Oni” in upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine

Known for creating the acclaimed classic manga series “Devilman” and many more, author Go Nagai is going to publish a new work of his in upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine.

According to a tweet by Manga Mogura, Good Nagai upcoming work is a short story titled “Tsuragi no Oni” which will come out on Weekly Shonen Magazine’s issue 41 on September 6, 2020.

No Nagai is known for popularizing the magic girl genre through Cutie Honey, mecha and robot through Mazinger Z and post-apocalyptic genre through Violence Jack. But he is best known for giving birth to Devilman which many of you know through its latest iteration of Netflix’s “Devilman Crybaby” by Masaaki Yuasa.

Lurking hidden since the dawn of humanity are the Devils, parasitic creatures driven to sinful hosts.Ryo Asuka is an elusive genius keen to hunt down and expose the monsters. And so he enlists his best friend, Akira Fudou, to assist him.

But in the process, the weak and naive Akira is possessed and merged with the great devil Amon, yet due to his kind nature he retains his mind. Thus, the Devilman is created.
