The episode started with a flashback of the hero defeating the demon king. In the next scene a infant arrived on the shores of an island full of monsters. The demon king had died so the monster were leaving peacefully and they accepted the little baby as there own and brought him up. Over the course of the years the baby was growing up those monster and made friends with thim.
One of the elders on the island even thought him how to use magic even though he was not as good at it. When Dai was small the elder told him the story of how the hero defeated the demon king and brought peace to the world. From that day Dai made it his goal to become the next hero.
Dai one day saw a ship sailing to their island and he thought the guy on the ship was the hero and his companions. But they were crooks who tricked Dai and came to the island to kidnap Dai’s friend a monster named Gomachan. After, they kidnap Gomachan Dai took a few of the monsters with him and attacked the ship and defeated those kidnappers.
Later, the king found out that he was also ticked by those crooks and he punished them and give Dai an armor making him the next hero.
