Based on the novels by Shimesaba “Hige o Soru. Soshite Joshi Kōsei o Hirō” in an ongoing manga series written by Shimesaba and drawn by Adachi Imaru which is serialized in Monthly Shoten Ace.
It is currently one of the most popular romantic-comedy series which goes by many English names such as ‘I Shave My Beard. Then I Pick Up a High School Girl’ or ‘I Shaved, Then I Brought A High school Girl Home’. Contrary to its name it is a super wholesome and comfy series which people of all ages can read and enjoy.
In the previous episode, Over lunch, Mishima and Hashimoto learn from Yoshida about Sayu’s departure and mention to him that it is best to stay as an outsider for now in her family’s affairs. That night on his way home, he runs into Ogiwara again, who apologizes to him for judging him at first. Ogiwara also thanks him for taking good care of Sayu, and gives a brief background of their complicated family history: their father had a thing for extramarital affairs and tried to force their mother to have an abortion (Sayu), but she refused, thinking having her would make him love her back.

Episode 11 Recap
He did not and ended up leaving them, and to their mother it was proof that Sayu was a liability to the family. Sayu learned very quickly as a kid why her mother did not love her, and in Ogiwara’s eyes, Yoshida was the first person to truly care for Sayu. As Yoshida helps Sayu to get her ready to go back home, she asks to go out late at night, and it turns out she wants to go to the same stargazing location Asami took her to earlier. She talks about learning to accept her past and confront it head on with the help of Asami, and that she truly enjoyed Yoshida’s company and his help and wishes to stay with him forever, but that she needs to return home to finish the final step of confronting her past.
They both end up sharing a tearful embrace underneath the stars. The day before Sayu has to leave, Mishima and Hashimoto suggest to Yoshida that he follow Sayu to Hokkaido, asking him if he thinks Sayu confronting his mother alone is a good idea.

Office worker Yoshida has been crushing on his boss, Airi Gotou, for five years. Despite finally scoring a date with her, his confession is promptly rejected. Drunk and disappointed, he stumbles home, only to find a high school girl sitting on the side of the road. The girl, needing a place to stay the night, attempts to seduce Yoshida. Despite rejecting her advances, he nevertheless invites her into his apartment.
The next morning, the girl, introducing herself as Sayu Ogiwara, reveals that she has run away from Hokkaido all the way to Tokyo. During her six-month spree, she continually traded sexual favors for a roof over her head. Yoshida, however, remains unswayed by her seduction. Instead, he has her do a different kind of work — one that entails washing dishes and doing laundry. And so, a touching relationship between a heartbroken adult and a runaway high school girl begins.
