Kyoko Hori is a brilliant and well known secondary school young lady, appearing differently in relation to her cohort, the melancholy and evidently geeky glasses-wearing kid Izumi Miyamura. Outside of school, Hori is a shut-in who dresses down and deals with the family unit and her more youthful sibling Souta.

She attempts to stay quiet about this from her colleagues. One day when Souta got back with a nosebleed, he was helped by somebody brandishing numerous hoops and tattoos just as a troublemaker styled appearance. The individual perceives her and uncovers himself to be Miyamura. The two consent to stay quiet about their genuine personas from their classmates, yet begin identifying with one another as companions and later as a couple.
