Kaiju No. 8 Chapter 38
Mina and Kafka

This week’s Kaiju No. 8 chapter was truly amazing in every sense. It fleshed out two of the most powerful characters in the series, captain Mina and vice-captain Hoshina. Also the humanoid-Kaiju who first appeared during the test has shown up once again. What is his plans this time and do Kafka need to transform?

Let’s find out in this article where we will discuss about Kaiju No. 8 chapter 15 and talk about its release date, possible plot and the official sources through which you can read the chapter.

Kaiju No. 8 Chapter 15 Release Date and Timing

As of writing the Kaiju No. 8 chapter 15 is scheduled to release on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 12:00 am (JST). The chapter was originally supposed to come out on 22nd October but was delayed at last minute. Instead of it the Shonen Jump has released a special chapter 14.1 with color illustrations drawn by author.

Assuming you are not residing in Japan right now, the English translations will be available online at following date times in your country:

  • Pacific Time: 9 AM on Thursday, October 29
  • Central Time: 11 AM on Thursday, October 29
  • Eastern Time: 12 noon on Thursday, October 29
  • British Time: 5 PM on Thursday, October 29

What will happen in next chapter?

Mina is currently the strongest officer introduced in the series who has an unmatched combat power of 96 percent. It will be pretty hard for Kafka to catch-up to her level at this pace. On the otherhand there is a interesting but revealed about series world. It was revealed in the chapter vice-captain Hoshina who is specialised in blade works is a direct descendant of a Kaiju slayers clan who dates back to Muromachi period. Now the interesting thing is here is that Muromachi period began in early 15th century, so unlike Pacific Rim where Kaiju is a newly emerged threat, the kaijus is this universe has been existing for atleast of 400 years or so.

Now to the next chapter, I think something bad is going to happen with Iharu Furuhashi (sharp teeth guy who looks a lot similar to Garfiel from Re: Zero) who has been feeling pretty depressed after he saw how Ichikawa taking down multiple kaijus on his own while he only managed to neutralize one.

Also I think Kafka might need to transform by the end of chapter if they wish to defeat the opponent in front of them, which I think is safe choice here as Ichikawa already knows about his Kaiju form it won’t be that hard for them to convince Furuhashi that Kafka is on their side.
