Six months have passed since Demon Slayer ended with teasing the sequel movie Demon Slayer:Infinity Train where Tanjiro’s quest to avenge his family and cure Nezuko will continue.

Anime fans got there first look at the Kimetsu no Yaiba:Mugen Train in October 2019 where they shared a 60 seconds teaser which introduces us to crimson flame blade of Rengoku. Since then anime fans have been curiously waiting for more footage.

Thankfully thee Abematv Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen train broadcast on Friday shared a new trailer and key visual to upcoming Kimetsu no Yaiba:Mugen Train movie. The broadcast also shared details regarding Demon Slayer:Infinity Train October release date.

The new 90-seconds trailer feels underwhelming offering hardly of any new footage other than one of the antagonist demon and lots of hand holding.

The broadcast shared a slick looking Kimetsu no Yaiba:Mugen Train key visual with Tanjiro in the middle of all.

Kimetsu no Yaiba:Mugen Train movie Release Date

Kimetsu no Yaiba:Mugen Train(Demon Slayer:Infinity Train) theatrical Release date is scheduled for October 16, 2020. Details regarding release outside of Japan will revealed be announced later.

The movie was originally supposed to Release in summer 2020 but was postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19 outbreak.

Kimetsu no Yaiba:Mugen Train Movie Plot

Those how are familiar with the manga knows that the Kimetsu no Yaiba:Mugen Train movie will adapt the “Demon Train Arc” which is is 7th story arc the manga which runs from chapter 54-69.

The arc focuses on flame pillar of demon slayer corps Rengoku where Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke sets on a journey to Infinity Train in search for Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Pillar. Tanjiro hopes he has some info on the Dance of the Fire God.

Tv anime director Haruo Sotozaki is returning to direct the movie at Studio Ufotable. All cast members are reprising their original roles.

About Demon Slayer:Kimetsu no Yaiba

Demon Slayer:Kimetsu no Yaiba is a battle action shonen manga written and drawn by Koyoharu Gotouge. The manga is published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since February 2016. Viz Media is publishing the manga in English digitally and in print. The manga has 19 compiled volumes in circulation.

Studio Ufotable produced a 26- episode anime adaptation which aired between April 6 to September 28, 2019. A sequel anime film Demon Slayer: Infinity Train is under production and is scheduled to premiere in 2020.

In February 2020, the franchise recorded over 40.3 million copies sold, including digital versions, making it one of the best-selling manga series. While the anime received various awards including Crunchyroll’s Anime of the year, Funimation’s Anime of The Decade and Best Tv Anime award at TAFF. In a recent survey the anime series was voted as the most favorite anime of all time by Japanese viewers.

The story takes place in Taishō-era Japan, where Tanjirō Kamado who is a kindhearted and intelligent boy lives with his family. He has become his family’s sole source of income after the passing of his father. Everything changes when his family is attacked and slaughtered by a demon.

Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the sole survivors of the incident, with Nezuko being transformed into a demon, but still surprisingly showing signs of human emotion and thought. After an encounter with Giyu Tomioka, a demon slayer, Tanjirō is recruited by Giyu to also become a demon slayer to help his sister turn human again and avenge the deaths of the rest of his family.
