Mars Red is a brand new anime coming this Spring 2021, which takes place in Taisho Era Japan and features an alternate universe where Vampires exists. Usually, most anime are based on some sort of existing source material in the form of novels, manga, games but Mars Red is special in that regard as it is the first anime to be based on a Dramatic Stage Play.

Funimation and Yomiuri TV Enterprise are co-producing the anime with Kouhei Hatano directing it at Signal.MD studio. The series will premiere on April 6, 2021, at 2:00 am JST. Funimation will be pre-screening the first episode in sub and dub on March 29th.

Now with so many big anime airing this season such as the My Hero Academia Season 5 and Fruits Basket Season 3 it is pretty easy to overlook a new anime like Mars Red and lost track of its episodes and their air date.

You can watch the latest episodes of Mars Red on Funimation who currently streaming the anime in the USA and Canada. Animelab is streaming the series in Australia and Europe. As for France, Denmark and Russia it is available on Wakanim.

When the English Dub for Mars Red will premiere?

Funimation already has announced the dub and has confirmed that they will release the English dubbed episodes of Mars Red alongside with subbed version. The dub cast includes:

  • Zach Aguilar as Kurusu
  • Aaron Dismuke as Suwa
  • Chris Guerrero as Takeuchi
  • Bryan Massey as Yamagami

It will be also available on Animelab and other affiliates.

It has been confirmed that Mars Red TV anime will run for a total of 13 episodes starting from April 6th to June 29, 2021. A new episode in the series will be released every Tuesday at 2:00 am JST.

Mars Red takes place in 1923, and vampires have existed for quite a while. But now, the number of vampires is increasing and a mysterious, artificial blood source called Ascra has appeared.

The Japanese government, in turn, creates “Code Zero,” an unit within the army tasked with taking down the vampiric forces. And what better way to track vampires than by using vampires?

Created by Lieutenant General Nakajima, this unit has historically been in the business of information war, but has been re-assigned to solve the vampire crisis.
