The Studio Colorido’s second anime film Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu(I Want To Cry Pretending to Be A Cat) was previously set to release in Japan on June 5, 2020.
The anime movie was later postponed due to rising COVID-19 Coronavirus cases and countrywide emergency in Japan. A lot of fans were disappointed as the movie was highly anticipated.

Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu Release Date
On April 30, 2020, Netflix Japan announced that Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu wil now release on Netflix on 18 June, 2020. Due to the Coronavirus that movie was delayed and now the creators have decided to sell the movie to Netflix.
Now the anime film will be released as a Netflix Original. It is also announced that the Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu movie will have a worldwide release in 28 languages.

Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu Story/Plot
It is a romantic fantasy story set in Tokoname-city in Aichi Prefecture. The protagonist is an eccentric second-year junior high school student Miyo Sasaki (Mirai Shida), nicknamed “Muge (Mugendai Nazo Ningen/Infinite Mystery Person)”.
She has tried to confess her love to her beloved classmate Kento Hinode (Natsuki Hanae), but she has been completely ignored. The only way she can be around him is to be a cat. While she can be with him only when she transforms into a cat, the line between herself as a human and herself as a cat gradually gets blurred.
