One Punch Man is a very popular hard-core superhero action manga which is an adaptation of the original webcomic by ONE (also drew Mob Psycho 100) and is drawn by Yusuke Murata of EyeShield 21. It features some of the most spectacular looking fight scenes with very detailed art and character writing.

We are now nearing the end of the long-awaited showdown between the Human Monster Garou and Saitama.

In the major re-draw by Murata where he basically changed the whole thing, GOD grants Garou cosmic power along with the knowledge of all the sorts of forces and energy that exists in this universe allowing him to make nuclear explosions and gamma bursts. Garou then lands in front of heroes and most low-class heroes tries to escape from there. Garou realises he finally has fulfilled his dream of becoming “The Absolute Evil”, a symbol of despair. It seems like Saitama has to get serious now.

Previous Chapter Recap

With Bang’s Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, Garou has learned to replicate the flow of tidal currents and surges in his body; using it in combat is the secret to his success. And his skill at taking and copying any technique serves as an extension of that knowledge. Now empowered like never before, he has gained the knowledge of all energy and behaviour in the universe.

Using All Life Eradication Fist: Nuclear Fission, Garou attacks Saitama head-on, catching the hero off-guard. The blow becomes a towering mushroom cloud, with the decontamination system of the Gotz Okkie activated, causing its personnel to realize the attack carries the power of a nuclear weapon. In the distance, Psykos sees that the energy spheres of the attack look akin to Homeless Emperor’s, though she sees they are much more powerful, referring to them as “divine power”. As the heroes look up to see the rising mushroom cloud, they see humanoid shapes rapidly shifting from inside; Genos can only wonder if Saitama has something to do with it.

Saitama remains unharmed by the explosion but becomes irritated that his clothes are now tattered; Garou laughs at his worry for his clothing and declares he can see through his moves. The hero grows frustrated at Garou’s words and claims he will simply get pummelled again. In response, Garou states that in martial arts, one can use the power of nature by borrowing movements of living things, calling these techniques “modes” and promptly giving a demonstration.
