Bandai Namco today celebrates the 40th Anniversary of world famous arcade Pac-Man. And as part of their 40th Anniversary celebration, Pac-Man collaborated with popular Japanese animation That time I got reincarnated as a Slime. A visual featuring the characters from two franchises was released.
The collaboration project also comes with new official merchs as shown in the below picture. The official website is also teasing a game with 8-bit versions of characters from Tensura which will be available soon.
The second season to That time I got reincarnated as a Slime will premiere in Fall 2020. Meanwhile an anime based on Shiba’s spin-off manga Slime Diaries is scheduled for Winter 2020.
Written by Fuse with illustrations by Mitz Wah, That time I get reincarnated as a Slime is Japanese light novel published by Micro Magazine.
Yen press is publishing the English release. The novel also have inspired a manga adaptation by Taiki Kawakami published in Kodansha’s Shounen Sirius Magazine, along with a spin-off by Mirco Magazine.
Yen Press describes it as:
Lonely thirty-seven-year-old Satoru Mikami is stuck in a dead-end job, unhappy with his mundane life, but after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a fantasy realm…as a slime monster! As he acclimates to his goopy new existence, his exploits with the other monsters set off a chain of events that will change his new world forever!
The same inspired a 2-cour anime series by 8-bit which aired during Fall 2018.
