Peach Boy Riverside is an upcoming action-fantasy anime coming out this season which is based on the manga of same name. Fans are very excited for this anime as it based on the manga written by Cool-kyousinnjya who is also the author of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, which is unarguably the most popular slice of life anime.

Studio Asahi Productions is producing the anime with Shigeru Ueda as the director and Keiichirou Oochi as the scriptwriter. Masato Katou and Satomi Kurita are providing the character designs and Takaaki Nakahashi is composing the music. Plot Of The Anime:

Saltherine Aldarake, princess of the Kingdom of Aldarake, dreams of traveling the world—a dangerous dream in a land where monsters roam the countryside as they please, and humans live behind high, strong walls.

But when a chance meeting with traveler Mikoto gives hope to her dream, he shatters it soon after, as he reveals himself to be none other than Momotaro, ruthless demon-slayer.

Though horrified by the gore Momotaro leaves behind, Saltherine is convinced more than ever that she needs to learn about the world beyond her walls, and journeys out…following the steps of the mysterious, charismatic, terrifying boy she met that day.

Written and illustrated by Coolkyousinnjya, Peach Boy Riverside is shonen manga published in Kodansha’s Shōnen Magazine R magazine since August 2015. The individual chapters of manga has been collected in 8 compiled volumes and Kodansha USA is releasing it in English. A television anime adaptation was announced in June 2020 and finally premiered in July 2021.

The story centers around Saltorine Aldike, or Sari, a bright, cheerful princess who wants to go on an adventure because she is bored of her tiny little castle in the countryside. One day, a hoard of vicious demons known as “Oni” come knocking on her doorstep, threatening the lives of everyone in the Kingdom.

Thankfully, they are saved by a lone traveler named Kibitsu Mikoto who slays these monsters with a mysterious “Peach Eye.” Shocked by the dangers of the outside world, Sari decides to set off on a journey of her own. Little did she know that she would set in motion a chain of events that will come to determine the fate of this magical world.
