Celebrating Pokemon’s 25th Anniversary, the international company recently announced a new web limited animation titled “Pokemon Evolutions”. The eight-episode series will take fans on a journey through all the known regions of the Pokémon world explored in the popular core video game franchise since it launched 25 years ago.
Studio OLM is producing the animation for the series and the first episode is already available online. Each episode will focus on a story from a different region in reverse chronological order in which they were introduced starting from Galar to Kanto and as promised by the company plenty of familiar faces will appear in each episode along with a Pikachu acting as the guide.
Here are the release dates, titles and brief description for each episode of Pokemon Evolutions coming later this year:

Pokemon Evolutions Episode 1: “The Champion” featuring the Galar region Release Date: September 9, 2021
The show began with Leon, the Pokemon champion of Galar Region. He is reflecting on his defeat at the hands of Eternatus during the Darkest Day, and the subsequent triumph of Victor; Leon’s challenger.
Galar Region is featured in the latest edition of Pokemon Adventure game “Sword and Shield”.
Pokemon Evolutions Episode 2: “The Eclipse” featuring the Alola region Release Date: September 23, 2021
The second season will take us back to Alola region which was featured in Pokemon: Sun and Moon, game and anime adaptation. The episode will stream on September 23, 2021.
Pokemon Evolutions Episode 3: “The Vision” featuring the Kalos region, Release Date: October 7, 2021
The third episode will transport us to the Kalos region from the Pokemon: X and Y game which is themed around France. The episode is titled “Vision” and will air on 7th October this year.
Pokemon Evolutions Episode 4: “The Plan” featuring the Unova region Release Date: October 21, 2021
With the fourth episode, we will explore the Unova region from “Pokemon: Black and White” one of the most successful Pokemon games.
Pokemon Evolutions Episode 5: “The Rival” featuring the Sinnoh region Release Date: December 2, 2021
In the next episode titled “The Rival” we will visit the Sinnoh Region from Diamond and Pearl series. The episode will release on December 2, 2021.
Pokemon Evolutions Episode 6: “The Wish” featuring the Hoenn region Release Date: December 9, 2021
Next we have Hoenn region located south of Sinnoh. It is the setting of Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire. It was the third core series region to be introduced. Hoenn is inspired by the real-world Japanese main island of Kyushu.
Pokemon Evolutions Episode 7: “The Show” featuring the Johto region, Release Date: December 16, 2021
In the seventh episode, we will explore the Johto region which is a region connected to the western part of Kanto. It was introduced in Generation II, Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Pokémon Crystal, later seen in their remakes, HeartGold and SoulSilver.

For the last episode we will return back to roots to the Kanto region, the first region added in the Pokemon Universe which started everything.
