What is the plot of Nanatsu no Taizai Season 5?
The Nanatsu no Taizai Season 5 will begin with adapting the New Holy War Arc from the manga which runs from chapter 257-306 where following Arthur’s demise at the hands of Cusack, the Sins (minus Ban) who are led by Elizabeth, join forces with the Holy Knights and the Four Archangels to fight against the Demons. In a race to prevent Meliodas from absorbing the Commandments and becoming the new Demon King, the Sins must battle the remnants of the Commandments, including the rogue Estarossa who plans to take the Commandments for himself; while Ban journeys through Purgatory to find Meliodas’ emotions and also finds a shocking surprise along the way.
The fight is taken straight to Camelot castle where Meliodas plans to reemerge as the new Demon King, but can the Sins stop him from achieving his goal or will Meliodas be lost to them forever.
Thereafter it will adapt the New Demon King arc which lasts from chapter 307 to 344. In the arc, with their curses broken, Meliodas and Elizabeth return to Liones along with the Sins but they soon find out that Elizabeth’s curse has mysteriously reactivated and Meliodas realizes that the Demon King hasn’t been destroyed, by taking Zeldris over as his new vessel to survive. To save his brother, Meliodas rushes to Lake Salisbury to stop his father once and for all, but can he stop him before he loses his younger brother forever?

About Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai)
Written by Nakaba Suzuki, The Seven Deadly Sins is a Japanese Shounen manga published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine since 2012.
The Seven Deadly Sins were once an active group of knights in the region of Britannia, who disbanded after they supposedly plotted to overthrow the Liones Kingdom. Their supposed defeat came at the hands of the Holy Knights, but rumours continued to persist that they were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights staged a coup d’état and captured the king, becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. The third princess, Elizabeth Liones, then starts on a journey to find the Seven Deadly Sins and enlist their help in taking back the kingdom from the Holy Knights.
The source material inspired four anime seasons consisting of 24 episodes with an original anime movie all available on Netflix.
