The official twitter account to “Shikizakura” revealed its first trailer along with its release date. Shikizakura is an original science fiction anime by Chukyo TV and Sublimation which takes place in near future. It follows the story of a young man who with the help of a armoured suit fights against enemies of humanity. Have a look at the newly released promotional trailer.

Well its CGI format might not work for most us but visual wise it definitely looks better than most of shows released so far. Also the fight choreography is exceptionally beautiful with stunning background music.
Shikizakura Release Date
Shikizakura will release in January 2021. The exact release date will be announced on a later date. Moreover it is listed with 12 episodes.

Plot/ Synopsis
For those who don’t know Shikizakura is set in a world where monstrous creatures known as “Oni” routinely attack and devour human beings. The story follows Kakeru Miwa, a young man who accidentally dons a powered armor suit known as a “yoroi” and fights back against the Oni. Using the yoroi, which combines ancient secrets with cutting edge technology, Kakeru aims to become a hero that can protect the world from the depredations of the Oni.
Studio and Staff
Shinya Sugai is directing the anime series at Sublimation animation studio. K&K Design is credited with character designs and it uses a mix of hand-drawn and 3DCGI animation.
