Sword art online fans were pretty disappointed when the second cour to War of Underworld arc was put on hold. Thankfully it was later confirmed that the series will return sooner than we expected, and after months of waiting we finally have a confirmed Sword art online: Alicization- War of Underworld Part 2 release date.
The official website to Sword art online TV anime announced on Saturday that Sword art online: Alicization War of Underworld Part 2 release date is set for July 11, 2020. The Sword art online: Alicization War of Underworld Cour 2 was originally scheduled to premiere in April but was postponed due to ongoing COVID-19 outbreak which subsequently affected its production and distribution. Now you can expect Sword art online: Alicization War of Underworld Episode 13 to premiere on Saturday, 11th July, 2020 at 12:00 a.m. (Technically July 12).
The coming season will adapt the final arc in the Alicization arc where Alice has been kidnapped by Vector and Sinon and her friends have entered Underworld to help Asuna and Kirito.

The series takes place in the near future where a Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online has been released where players can control their avatars through brain waves using technology called “NerveGear.” When players enter the game, they discover they cannot log out, as the game creator is holding them captive. To escape, players must beat the game by defeating each boss on all 100 floors; however, if they die in the game, they die in real life too. Their struggle for survival starts now.
