Fans of Angel Beats! and Charlotte are pretty excited for Jun Maeda’s and P.A. Works (Progressive Animation Works) upcoming original anime series titled “The Day I Became a God“.
After the initial announcement on May 10, a latest livestream on Saturday revealed on a set of media including a new visual and first promotional video along with new cast members and more staff members. Have a look.

Plot
The official website describes the story as:
Hinata, who awakened as a god.
She foresaw “the end of the world.”
She chooses a lone young man.
Who, as her companion,
Will spend his time with her until the very end.
The Day I Became a God Release Date
As of now, an exact is yet to be announced however it has been confirmed that the show will premiere in October 2020. The series will run on the Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, BS11, ABC TV, and Metele (Nagoya TV) channels on weekly basis with an expected count of 12 episodes.

Studio and Staff
Jun Maeda is credited with original work,script writing and music composition. Meanwhile Yoshiyuki Asai (Charlotte, Fate/Apocrypha) is directing the anime with Na-Ga returning as character designer.
Kurumi Suzuki is directing the art, and Yukiyo Kajiwara is the compositing director of photography.
Naomi Nakano is the color key artist, and Haruki Suzuki is the 3D director. Ayumu Takahashi is editing, and Satoki Iida is the sound director. Animation Studio P.A. Works is producing the series with Aniplex is licensing it.
About Jun Maeda
Maeda first teased about his new anime on April 29. He first collaborated with P.A Works in 2010 to develop Angel Beats! mixed project. He worked as a script writer, composer, lyricist for the show. Later they joined forces to create fantasy anime Charlotte in 2015.
Also Last year P.A. works studio producer Mitsuhito Tsuji expressed his desire to work on a new project with Jun Maeda. He said,”Charlotte episode 6 may be the most I have cried in our own show (Also Angel Beats episode). I would like to cry again with script from Maeda too… How about it Maeda-san?”. Not so long ago the official twitter account to Charlotte/Angel Beats! also teased about a new project.
