Based on the novels written by Nigoju, “The Detective is Already Dead” (also called “Tantei wa Mou” in Japanese) is one of the most anticipated anime coming this Summer. It is a supernatural, spy thriller anime that follows Kimihiko Kimizuka and Siesta who are counterparts of each other.

In the previous episode Kimihiko is approached by the young idol, Yui Saikawa who requests his services as the legendary detective. The Detective is Already Dead Episode 5 Release date
Episode 5 of The Detective is Already Dead titled “That Was Directed at One Year in the Future” is scheduled to release on August 1, 2021, at 9:30, am JST.
The release time will vary depending on your geographical location. The release time in your location is as follows:

Story so far in the anime
Kimihiko muffles Yui’s mouth to quiet her as she attracted the attention of onlookers and then an idol newscast plays focusing on Yui’s rising career status. Yui then bites Kimihiko’s hand and frees herself from his grasp and after a scene between the three of them, Yui’s request is accepted.
The following day, both Kimihiko and Nagisa visit Yui at her mansion to discuss the job in further detail. To start, Yui shows the two the ransom note sent to her. As for the item that is to be stolen, Yui says it’s the family heirloom “Miracle Sapphire” that’s kept in a vault. When questioned about why doesn’t she have extra security on the day of the crime, Yui answers that on the date of the theft, she’ll be in concert. Furthermore, her “guards” are in fact her biggest fans. Disgusted by Yui’s immature nature and inadequate security tries to leave, but is convinced to stay by Nagisa.

When the English Dub for Tantei wa Mou will premiere?
Unfortunately as of writing, there is no official confirmation when the English dub for Detective is already Dead will release. However taking into account the fact that anime streaming giant Funimation is releasing it who have been producing lots of dubs of their popular series lately along with the popularity of the source material in the English-speaking countries, it is relatively safe to say that an English dub will be announced very soon.

The Detective is Already Dead is a Japanese light novel series written by Nigoju with illustrations drawn by Umibozu. A manga adaptation by Mugiko is currently running in Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine since May 2020. A television anime adaptation by Studio ENGI premiered in July 2021.
The story centres around Kimihiko Kimizuka who has always been a magnet for trouble and intrigue. For as long as he can remember, he’s been stumbling across murder scenes or receiving mysterious attaché cases to transport. When he met Siesta, a brilliant detective fighting a secret war against an organization of pseudo humans, he couldn’t resist the call to become her assistant and join her on an epic journey across the world. Until a year ago, that is. Now he’s returned to a life that is normal and tepid by comparison, knowing the adventure must be over. After all, the detective is already dead.
