The Promised Neverland author and artist duo Kaiu Shirai and Demizu Posuka are returning to the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump with a brand new one-shot titled “Shinrei Sashinshi Kono Saburou” in combined issue 36/37 on August 12.
As reported by @WSJ_MANGA, a reliable source of any news related to Weekly Shonen Jump and shueisha’s other jump titles, the one-shot will consist of 45 pages and a color page.
For those who don’t know, an one-shot is basically a short and complete standalone story told within 40-70 pages. All of Jump titles first starts as an one-shot and based on readers response, the series is then lit for a full serialization such a Tite Kubo’s upcoming Burn the witch manga which first appeared as a one-shot in 2017.
Their previous work, The Promised Neverland ended on June 15 with 181 chapters published. The second season anime will premiere in January 2021 and a western live-action TV by Amazon is in works.
