What will happen in season 2?

With Tenseiga having been broken by a spiteful Zero, Towa begins to infuse the heavenly healing sword with her limited amounts of demonic energy in order to revive Setsuna. Totosai and Jaken arrive at the scene, and Totosai states that he needs three whole days to mend Tenseiga. Unfortunately, by that time, Setsuna’s vital essence will have been already sent to the Underworld, thus rendering the repaired Tenseiga powerless and that they have no other option but to rely on Towa’s demonic strength and will.

While Towa struggles to utilize Tenseiga’s heavenly abilities to try and save her twin’s spiritual essence, Totosai retrieves the hilt of Setsuna’s broken naginata and begins to restore it to create the blood bade she inherited from being one of Sesshomaru’s half-demon daughters, the Yukari no Takichri.

Plot of the anime:

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon follows the daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha as they set out on a journey transcending time. Set in feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire.

While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family. Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a demon slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister. Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.
