After a long wait the sequel to 2018’s popular Zombie-Idol themed  anime Zombieland Saga Season 2 has been announced. The new season is titled ” Zombieland Saga Revenge” Season 2. The new season was announced during a Zombieland Saga live stage event. An announcement trailer and teaser visual has went live. Have a look:

Additional information like Release date, studio, staff and cast is said to be  announced soon. Release in speculated for Winter 2020 or Spring 2020.


The renewal was obvious after how financially well the show performed in the market including Blu-ray/DVD disc  sale to merchandises.

Zombieland Saga is an TV anime series produced by Cygames in collaboration with Avex Pictures, and animated by studio MAPPA.The series began airing in Japan from October 4, 2018 on original networks of AT-X, TVQ, Tokyo MX, Saga TV, Sun TV, BS11, etc. Crunchyroll and Funimation licensed the show are available in sub and dub.

The show revolves around  the Chronicles of high school girl Sakura Minamoto who in 2008 is abruptly killed by a truck while heading to an audition. 10 years later, Sakura, along with six “legendary” girls from various eras of Japan’s history, are brought back as zombies by a man named Kotaro Tatsumi, who seeks to revitalize Saga Prefecture by putting together an all-zombie idol group known as Franchouchou.
