Re: Zero Starting Life in Another World is a popular isekai light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki with illustrations provided by Shinichirou Otsuka. Media Factory is publishing the novels with currently 17 volumes in circulation. Yen Press is publishing the series in English.

Re: Zero inspired a 25- episode Tv anime by White Fox in 2016. White Fox also produced two OVA titled Hyōketsu no Kizuna, Memory Snow. The Tv anime was voted 3rd most favorite Isekai anime. The show also was ranked 4th most favorite anime all time in a Japanese survey.

Season 2 will premiere in July 2020.

The show centers around Subaru Natsuki who was just trying to get to the convenience store but wound up summoned to another world. He encounters the usual things–life-threatening situations, silver haired beauties, cat fairies–you know, normal stuff. All that would be bad enough, but he’s also gained the most inconvenient magical ability of all–time travel, but he’s got to die to use it. How do you repay someone who saved your life when all you can do is die?
