What happened in last chapter?
In the previous chapter, Goblin Slayer’s party arrives at the adventurer training center. The dwarven quest-giver informs Goblin Slayer that a previous party taking the same quest had not returned, and that the goblins had been taking their tools.
High Elf Archer reminds Goblin Slayer that Priestess was the one in charge of the party, though he adds that he will intervene in the case of an emergency. Priestess assures she’ll be counting on them should they have their backs against the wall, while privately admitting that she’d much rather be called incompetent than being responsible for the party’s demise.

A manga adaptation by Kosuke Kurose is currently being serialized in the Monthly Big Gangan magazine, and a second adaptation by Masahiro Ikeno runs in the same magazine with 10 compiled volumes released so far. A prequel manga, Goblin Slayer Side Story: Year One, by Kento Eida, is currently running in Young Ganagan with currently 5 volumes released so far. Anime
An anime television series adaptation by White Fox aired from October 7 to December 30, 2018. An anime film, titled Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown, premiered on February 1, 2020. A season 2 is in works.
