4th Black Clover Popularity Poll Picks Asta as the King

This week’s issue of Weekly Shonen Jump announced the results of 4th Black Clover character popularity poll results where Asta once again took the crown followed by Yami. Readers of Viz’s english-language readers of Weekly Shonen Jump digital magazine also got to vote for their favorite Black clover character. Here are the results of that poll:

About Black Clover

Written and illustrated by Yuki Tabata, Black Clover is Japanese Battle manga published in Weekly Shonen Jump since February 2015. Viz Media publishes the English translations digitally and also in print.

The manga inspired an event original episode screened in Jump Festa 2017. Later Studio Pierrot adapted a Black Clover anime which is currently ongoing.

The story takes place in a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any.

At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!
