Before its worldwide Netflix premiere, Brand New Animal recently collaborated with Promare in a latest visual. Have a look at the newly released crossover collaboration visual.
The above visual is drawn by Promare character designer, Shigeto Koyama. It features characters two series such as racoon girl Michiru Kagemori and wolf beastmam Shiro Ogami from BNA and Galo Thymos and Rio Fortia from Promare.
Both series are produced by Studio Trigger. Bna: Brand New Animal will debut worldwide on streaming platform on June 30. The official website also posted a interview with series creators.
BNA: Brand New Animal is set in the 21st century, when beast people have emerged from the shadows of history and made their presence known to human beings. One day, Michiru Kagemori, an ordinary human girl, spontaneously turns into a tanuki beast person and heads to Anima City, a special zone where beast people can live freely apart from human interference. There Michiru meets Shirou Ogami, a wolf beast person with a grudge against humans, and she learns of the joys and hardships of life as a beast person while trying to unravel the mystery of her sudden transformation.
Meanwhile Promare is an original anime film which first premiered on May 15, 2019 and earned about $17 Million worldwide. Iroyuki Imaishi and Kazuki Nakashima, both whom previously worked together on Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill, directed and wrote the film, respectively.
GKIDS who screened the movie in US describes it as:
Thirty years has passed since the appearance of Burnish, a race of flame-wielding mutant beings, who destroyed half of the world with fire. When a new group of aggressive mutants calling themselves “Mad Burnish” appears, the epic battle between Galo Thymos, a new member of the anti-Burnish rescue team “Burning Rescue,” and Lio Fotia, the leader of “Mad Burnish” begins.
