The anime film “Demon Slayer: Infinity Train” which also goes by the title “Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train” is one the most anticipated anime movie of 2020. The movie recently opened in Japanese theatres on October 16th and broke multiple records by earning more than 4.6 Billion Yen ($44 M) in its opening weekend.

When the Demon Slayer Movie will release on Blu-ray and DVD?

Being one the most popular anime worldwide it is understandable that fans outside Japan are wondering when they will be able to watch the movie but with COVID-19 rampaging around the world, it is unlikely the movie will get as much screening. Therefore the only way left is to wait for Demon Slayer: Infinity Train to release on Blu-ray and DVD.

An exact release date for hasn’t been announced yet but it is expected that the Blu-ray and DVD of Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train will release six months after the Japanese premiere most likely in May or June 2021. The movie was announced back in September 2019 right after the broadcast of the final episode. It adapts the Infinity Train arc from the manga which runs from chapter 54-69.

The movie premiered in theaters on October 16, 2020, in Japan and will be coming to North America in early 2021. So, with that being said the Movie will be coming to different countries up till February, March. That’s why the blu-ray for the Demon Slayer Infinity Train will most likely will release after May 2021.

Update: if aas announced on March 16 that the movie’s Blu-ray and DVD release date is set to be on 16th June 2021. This movie on Blu-ray will be available on both Normal as well as Limited Editions of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train. This release by Ufotable will have the original Japanese editions of the movie along with English Subtitles.

Aniplex of America describes the plot of Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train movie as such:

Tanjiro and the group have completed their rehabilitation training at the Butterfly Mansion, and they arrive to their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over 40 people have disappeared in a very short period of time.

Tanjiro and Nezuko, along with Zenitsu and Inosuke, join one of the most powerful swordsmen within the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to face the demon aboard the Mugen Train on track to despair.

Staff at Ufotable returned to work on film along with director anime director Haruo Sotozaki.

Demon Slayer:Kimetsu no Yaiba is a battle action shonen manga written and drawn by Koyoharu Gotouge.  Studio Ufotable adapted the same into a Television anime which ran for a total of 26 episodes from April 6 to September 29, 2019.

The story takes place in Taisho-era Japan, where Tanjiro Kamado, a kindhearted and intelligent boy lives with his family. He has become his family’s sole source of income after the passing of his father. Everything changes when his family is attacked and slaughtered by a demon.

Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko are the sole survivors of the incident, with now Nezuko being transformed into a demon, but still surprisingly showing signs of human emotion and thought. After an encounter with Giyu Tomioka, a demon slayer, Tanjirō is recruited by Giyu to also become a demon slayer to help his sister turn human again and avenge the deaths of the rest of his family.
