Hiro Mashima’s Edens Zero has returned this Spring with an exciting new season to continue the adventures of Shiki and Rebecca across the cosmos.
J.C. Staff is returning to animate the second season with Toshinori Watanabe replacing the late Suzuki as the director. Mitsutaka Hirota is returning as the scriptwriter with Yurika Sako providing the character designs. Yoshihisa Hirano is reprising his role as the music composer.
Edens Zero season 2 is scheduled to premiere on 2nd April 2023 as part of the Spring 2023 Anime Lineup and is expected to have 12 episodes.

What will happen in Edens Zero Season 2?
The second season of Edens Zero will pick up from where we left in the last season adapting a new arc. The arc in the series is called the “Belial Gore arc” which spans from chapter 69 to chapter 99 in the manga, making it quite a lengthy storyline.
In the Belial Gore arc, the Four Shining Stars will be finally assembled, which means the Crew of Edens can finally begin their journey beyond the Sakura Cosmos. However, they discover that the Edens Zero is being pursued by Drakken Joe’s giant space fortress, the Belial Gore.
Itching for answers, Shiki leads a team into the fortress, but they are quickly caught in Drakken’s trap as he advances on their ship. Now the crew must fight for their lives against the full might of the Dark Alchemist to protect their home—and Rebecca’s new power may be their only hope for survival.
After this we will have the “Edens One arc” where Having defeated Drakken, the Crew of Edens are free at last to begin their mission to find Mother and explore the unknown. All that remains is a return trip to Granbell, where Shiki expects a heartfelt reunion with all of his old robot friends.
Instead, he and his friends witness the emergence of an enemy they never anticipated, upending everything they’ve ever known about the Demon King and the Edens Zero. With this new adversary taking command of the Edens One, a ship built to surpass the Zero, Shiki’s most harrowing battle yet begins.

Edens Zero Season 2 is set to release on April 2, 2023, on Crunchyroll and other streaming platforms.

Will The Anime Come TO Netflix?
If we’re talking about the second season coming to Netflix like the first, that’s unlikely to happen for quite some time, as it appears that Crunchyroll has outbid Netflix for the streaming rights. The series may become available on Netflix after the season has concluded.
About Edens Zero Anime
Miro Mashima launched Edens Zero in June 2018 and since then its chapters have been compiled into nine volumes as of April 2020. Individual chapters are published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. Meanwhile, Kodansha USA and Crunchyroll are publishing the English release.
