Being based on one of the most popular and acclaimed shojo manga of all time, Fruits Basket is one of the most anticipated anime to air this Spring.
The Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 1 is scheduled to release on April 6, 2021, at 1:30 AM JST. Funimation screened the first episode on March 20, 2021.
The official website of Fruits Basket recently confirmed that season 3 will run for a single cour which means a total of 12 or 13 episodes.

Wakanim is streaming the 2nd season in France, Denmark and Russia. It has been confirmed on Twitter through Blu-ray/DVD count that the third season will run for a total of 12/13 episodes which will air from April 6, 2021, to June 29, 2021. A new episode will be released every week on Tuesday at 1:30 AM JST.

Fruits Basket Season 3 Plot
Fruits Basket centres around Young Honda Tooru has been secretly living on her own in a tent. Her life changes forever when she stumbles upon the secret of the Souma family, whose land she has been living on. The secret is a curse that changes some members of the family into animals of the Chinese Zodiac when they are hugged by someone of the opposite sex. Now, living with the Souma family, Tooru is in the middle of ancient conflicts between Zodiac rivals as she wears the burden of the Souma family secret. Despite this, the members of the Souma family find peace thanks to the presence of Tooru.
After last season’s revelations, the Souma family moves forward, but the emotional chains that bind them are not easily broken. Unable to admit why she wants the cure, Tooru wrestles with the truth, aware that time is running out for someone close. And a secret still lurks that could break another’s heart. But hope is not lost as clue to the curse is found.
About Fruits Basket
Fruits Basket is a Japanese shojo manga written by Natsuki Takaya published in a semi-monthly Japanese magazine Hana to Yume, published from 1998 to 2006. The series was adapted by director Akitaro Daichi in July 2001 which ran for 26 episodes.
TMS entertainment is producing a reboot anime which will adapt the whole manga.The adaptation has an entirely new Japanese cast and staff from the previous version, as per Takaya’s request. Yoshihide Ibata directs the reboot with Taku Kishimoto as script writer.
The series centers around Tohru Honda who thought her life was headed for misfortune when a family tragedy left her living in a tent. When her small home is discovered by the mysterious Soma clan, she suddenly finds herself living with Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Soma. But she quickly learns their family has a bizarre secret of their own: when hugged by the opposite sex, they turn into the animals of the Zodiac!
