Otherside Picnic (also known as Urasekai picnic in Japanese) is an upcoming winter 2021 Yuri anime which might be able to fill the hole which Assault Lily Bouquet and Adachi to Shimamura left last season.
It is loosely based on the 1972 classic sci-fi novel Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky but with the anime twist of cute anime girls and firearms.
Liden Films and Felix Films studio are collaborating to work on this anime. Takuya Satō is directing the anime, who also has directed the mega-hit time travel anime Stiens; Gate. Meanwhile, Ayumi Nishibata is overseeing the animation and character designs.
Now with so many big anime returning this winter such as the Seven Deadly Sins Season 4, BEASTARS Season 2 it is pretty easy to overlook a new like Otherside picnic and lost track of its episodes and their air date.

How many episodes will it have?
It has been confirmed that Otherside Picnic TV anime will run for a total of 12 episodes starting from January 4 to March 22, 2021. A new episode in the series will be released every Monday at 11:30 am JST.

You can watch the Urasekai Picnic anime on Funimation who currently streaming the anime in the USA and Canada. Animelab is streaming the series in Australia and Europe. As for France, Denmark and Russia it is available on Wakanim. Also, it is available on Ani-one official YouTube channel for most of Asian countries.
When the English Dub for Otherside Picnic will premiere?
Unfortunately, as of writing, there is no official confirmation when the Otherside Picnic English dub will come out. However, taking into account the fact that Funimation is one streaming the show, who is pretty popular for their simuldubs, it’s relatively safe to say that an English dub will be announced very soon once it has been approved by its producers.
What is the Otherside Picnic (Urasekai picnic) about?
Otherside Picnic is a Japanese light novel series written by Iori Miyazawa. Hayakawa Publishing company is publishing the series with illustrations drawn by Shirakaba. A manga adaptation by Eita Mizuno is currently running in Square Enix’s Monthly Shōnen Gangan magazine since February 2018. J-Novel Club is publishing the series in English.
The anime follows Sorawo Kamishiko on her first encounter with Toriko Nishina. The encounter happened on the Otherside just after coming across “that thing” and had a near-death experience. From that day onwards, Sorawo’s life changed. The Otherworld is full of mysteries, and it exists alongside our world. It is home to dangerous beings, also known as the Kunekune and the Hasshaku-same. They are legends stories and also appear in real ghost stories. Toriko and Sorawo enter this strange world for research, profit, and searching to find an important person. The anime is a tale of two girls as they explore a bizarre world and try to survive.
