Whether you like it of not, Isekai is the currently the most popular genre in Japan with each season pushing about three isekai themed anime every time. One of such upcoming anime is Kumo desu ga, Nani ka? which some of you probably know as So I’m a Spider, So What? which recently announced its release Date.

The announcement came via its official website where they revealed a new key visual and announced its 2021 premiere. They also confirmed that it will consist of 2 cours which means it will run for 24/25 episodes. Have a look at the newly published key visual.

The above visual portrays the main character in the middle as a spider and her various enemies she will face during the series. She will be voiced by Aoi Yūki.

So I’m a Spider, So What? Release date

So I’m a Spider, So What? anime originally was intended to premiere in 2020 but the COVID-19 outbreak in Japan, greatly affected its production. The creators posted the following message on official website regarding the delay:

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) both in Japan and abroad, the originally planned production schedule for the TV anime So I’m a Spider, So What? has been significantly impacted. So we have decided to postpone the broadcast and streaming of the TV anime, which was originally scheduled to premiere in 2020.

The TV anime So I’m a Spider, So What? is now set to begin broadcasting in January 2021. Detailed broadcast and streaming schedule will be announced on the anime’s official website and Twitter as soon as it is determined.

We apologize for the inconvenience and concern this may cause to fans who have been looking forward to this show. All of the production staff and other related parties will continue working hard to deliver an enjoyable TV anime for everyone. We thank you for your understanding in this matter.

So I’m a Spider, So What? new release date is currently set for 2021. An exact release date will be announced very soon.
