On April 30, 2020 anime Film for the popular boys-love manga Umibe no Étranger shared a second visual. Today 18 days after it, Umibe no Étranger launched a full fledged Trailer confirming its September release date. You can watch the trailer below.

Visuals wise the the film looks pretty impressive with spot-on on music, crsip character designs and perfect voice casting of Shun Hashimoto by Taishi Murata and Mio Chibana by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka.
Umibe no Étranger Release Date
Umibe no Étranger will be out to theaters in Japan on 11 September 2020. We have yet get the official global release date for the movie, it not even sure if will be coming out of Japan. And amid COVID-19 outbreak where shows like Oregairu Season 3 have been posponed, the movie might suffer the same fate.
Plot
The story centers on Mio, a high school boy who lost his parents at an early age. Shun, a gay aspiring novelist living near Mio’s house on a remote island in Okinawa, noticed Mio sitting for hours at a bench on the beach. They grew closer to each other, but Mio had to leave Okinawa. Three years later, Mio returns to face his feelings.
Staff Details
Former animator and author, Kanna Kii himself, is supervising the animation and is in charge of character design. It is being Produced by Studio Hibari, a long-established studio that produces video based on 2D and 3D animation. The director is Akiyo Ohashi , who was in charge of directing “Danganronpa The Animation”.

Written and drawn by Kanna koi, Umibe no Étranger is Japanese Yaoi manga on bimonthly BLUE manga magazine. Renta! published the manga in English digitally as The Stranger by the Beach.
Kii launched a sequel manga titled Harukaze no Etranger (L’étranger du zéphyr or The Stranger of the Spring Breeze) on On Blue in July 2014.
