Heavenly Delusion also known as “Tengoku Daimakyo” in Japanese is a coming-of-age, post-apocalyptic anime set to air on Disney+ this Spring anime season. Fifteen years have elapsed since a catastrophic event devastated modern civilization. A group of youngsters resides in an isolated facility, cut off from the outside world. One day, Tokio, a girl from the group, receives a message asking if she desires to leave the facility. Another girl from the group, Mimihime, predicts that two individuals, one of whom resembles Tokio, will arrive from the outside world to rescue her. The group’s director, however, warns Tokio that the world outside is nothing but Hell. Meanwhile, Maru, a boy identical to Tokio, and Kiruko, a girl, are scouring the ruins of Japan for a place called Heaven.
