If you are bored of all the cliche Isekai and rom-com anime and is looking to watch something fresh and experimental then you should check out the upcoming TV anime “Orient”.
Orient is supernatural fantasy anime set to release this January. The anime is based on the well-acclaimed manga artist Shinobu Ohtaka known for the Arabic fantasy manga “Magi”. The manga is published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since October 2018 and is going strong with 13 compiled volumes available in the market.
Studio ACGT is working on the anime adaptation with Tetsuya Yanagisawa serving as the series director. Mariko Kunisawa is writing scripts, along with Takahiro Kishida designing the characters, and Hideyuki Fukasawa providing the music.
Episode 1 of Orient anime is set to release on October 6, 2021, at 12:00 am JST and is confirmed to run for 12 episodes with a new one releasing every Thursday.

Where can I watch Orient anime Online? Is it available on Crunchyroll, Funimation or Netflix?
If you are currently residing in Japan then you can easily watch the show on the local channels TV Tokyo and At-X. For the rest of the world, they will need to rely on online streaming services.
Crunchyroll is streaming the series in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Spain, Brazil and UK. The Episodes will be available in original Japanese dub with English subtitles.
Meanwhile, in Asia, Ani-One Asia is streaming the episodes on their YouTube channels for their subscribed members. Bilibili has licensed the series in mainland China, Taiwan and Vietnam. At last, the series is available worldwide on VRV through Crunchyroll.
When the English dub for Orient will premiere?
With Crunchyroll streaming the show globally, it is only a matter of time before the Orient English dub will be announced. The Crunchyroll streaming service is very popular for their quick English dub production and we can expect the first English dubbed episode to be available by Mid February.

Plot of the Anime
One day unidentified creatures are known as Kishin suddenly appeared in Japan, all of the most famous military leaders were killed in battle, and the end of the world seemed close at hand.
Now, 150 years later, demons still rule the world, and only the Band of Bushi continues to fight for freedom. Musashi and Kojiro, out of admiration for these brave fighters, strive to form the strongest Band of Bushi in this classic battle action story of friends passionately chasing a dream. Musashi is now a miner along with others who are brainwashed into thinking the Oni are their saviours and that they must work for them. However, Musashi knows the truth. He wants to confront the demons with his certain special power.
