Previous Chapter Quick Recap

One month after on July 20th, Mikey passed away, leaving Shinichiro in shambles. He later has a talk with Wakasa on how during the four years of Mikey’s state he got involved in shady businesses to support his younger brother, even resorting to following unproven methods and religious cults who promised false cures and floating the idea of murdering them as payback for their deception.

Wakasa is relieved Mikey passed away thinking Shinichiro would have collapsed first. He proposes Shinichiro join his gang so they can reign supreme, as otherwise, Shinichiro is purely rotting away. They settle for drinks in honour of Mikey.

At the bar, Wakasa requests female hosts, the bulk of which are occupied by another group. Wakasa suggests they find another place, but Shinichiro listens to the group talk about an old, homeless man who preached about being able to Time Leap, with the group’s leader boasting of beating him and berating the old man as a liar due to being unable to demonstrate his ability as he claimed he required a trigger.
