Alita: Battle Angel 2 is something fans have been talking about for a long time. It’s been more than 4 years since the movie came out and fans have been waiting for the sequel since then. It might be true that it was was not a box office hit and it made 400 Million for a budget of 150-200 Million. But there has been a petition for part 2 of the movie and it has its own huge following that would want to watch it anyway.

In a recent interview Rodriguez mentioned that they have there plans for Alita: Battle Angel 2. So, part 2 of the movie is pretty much confirmed. But it might take some time before the goes into production and comes out, as everything is on a halt because of the coronavirus.

Seeing the current circumstance it will take quite for the movie to come out. As it is just under planning and there are many different factors to consider before going into the actual production.
After Disney acquired the Fox Studio, it’s them who will be calling the shots related to the movie sequel and considering the first part didn’t do that well at the box office. The only way to convince Disney is to sign as many petitions as possible.
And even if Disney agrees it will still take a year for James Cameron to work on the script and it then takes another year and a half for the production. So the movie will take at least another three years if the movie is approved.
