Attack On Titan Season 4 Release Date Confirmed as December 7th, 2020

Attack on Titan Season 4 is going to be the biggest release of 2020 as the final release date has been officially announced.

A press release from NHK today announced that Attack on Titan: The Final Season will premiere on December 7th, 2020. The final season will be produced by animation studio MAPPA instead WIT.

A New key visual previewing the Levi Squad also has been revealed.

The official website describes the story of fourth and final season as such:

“The truth outside the wall that has been finally revealed to the public. To this point, humankind was made many sacrifices to reach this point. Nevertheless, they must continue to move forward. They have finally seen the sea, outsidede the wall, a symbol of freedom in thier eyes.

Time has passed and it has been 6 years since the expedition. Now Survey Corps has to carry out an important mission outside of Wall Maria. There is a sea over the wall, and beyond it there is freedom The story of Eren Yaeger enters a new phase.”

Funimation has confirmed that they will stream the final season with English subtitles and an English dubbed. The English-subtitled version will be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland on the same day it premieres in Japan. The series will also stream in Brazil and Mexico, and the SimulDub will premiere a few days later.

The final season will be directed by Yuichiro Hayashi (Dorohedoro, Kakegurui) at MAPPA. Hiroshi Seko is now the series composer, with Tomohiro Kishi on character design, and Kohta Yamamoto working on the music alongside veteran Hiroyuki Sawano. All cast members are also returning to reprise their original roles.

Also the creator Hajime Isayama has confirmed that only 5% of the story is remaining before the manga ends. He also said that he is aiming to finish the series within next year.
