After two years of serialization and more than 90 chapters published, it seems like Edens Zero is finally getting an anime adaptation. An Edens Zero anime has been talks ever since YonkouProductions, a trustable anime influencer, first spoke about it and now it seems like we will be getting an official announcement in the coming week.
The news came through @WSM_MANGA, where he reported that Hiro Mashima’s Edens Zero will appear on the cover of 29th issue of this year’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, the magazine in which the manga is serialized. Not only that but it will also receive multiple color pages and will share an important announcement.
Readers are speculating this “important announcement” to be anime announcement. As of writing the manga has published 96 chapters which are enough to turn it into a seasonal anime or they can even go for a long running show similar to Fairy Tail. For now its best wait for next Sunday when the Magazine will be out.
Miro Mashima launched Edens Zero in June 2018 and since then its chapters has been compiled into nine volumes as of April 2020. Individual chapters are published in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. Meanwhile Kodansha USA and Crunchyroll are publishing the english release.
Kodansha comics the describes its first volume as such:
